I’d also like to say (not sure if this is MacOS jank) the built-in file browser doesn’t support full Unicode? the text ‘ルカ’ didn’t display properly

I think the Godot version used for SnapeFX didn't support those characters yet

makes sense to me

Dumb ol’ MacOS tells me the dmg is corrupted. UGH.

I'm sorry! I didn't test on MacOS when i published it. That might be it

UPDATE: MacOS REALLY hates when you install anything unapproved by Apple via Developer ID, so it will LIE TO YOUR FACE. use xattr on pretty much any ‘corrupted’ dmg file to fix it. EDIT: you need some special tag with xattr look it up or smth EDIT 2: god this post is too many pings for anyone following this thread but use xattr -c FILENAME specifically

hopefully this is the last thing i need to say:

step 1: xattr -cr SnapeFX.dmg

step 2: drag the executable out into any folder

step 3: xattr -cr SnapeFX.app/

this worked for me.

Wow, thanks this is incredibly valuable!

thank cobbled together apple support forums and reddit posts

so maybe put that in the description

After 2 years i have fixed this issue that the Application was not srtarting. Turns out my Processor and Graphics Card was outdated so i just got a somewhat newish laptop and it works now!

Looks like a promising tool! I honestly can't wait to see how far this will go.

Thanks!

It seems to not even launch for me, says my video card or GPU doesn't support OpenGL.

I' really sorry about that, but unfortunately OpenGL is godot's renderer and if your hardware doesn't support it, we can't do anything about it.

It's strange cause my hardware does support it, I'm able to play games that require OpenGL perfectly fine.

That's really strange. SnapeFX requires OpenGL Es 3, maybe your gpu only supports Open GL Es 2?

Super cool tool and looks very promising. I did some light testing and i must say i am impressed. I look forward to when it becomes stable and hopefully has close button 🙂

Thank you!
